Registered as a PDO/PGI product, "Beans Vanilies Feneos", has some organoleptic features which differentiate it from other bean types. Its sweet taste, ability to boil easily, and the fact that after boiling the seeds and the soft flesh are still intact without being separated from the peel, makes them particularly appealing.

In the mountainous valley of Feneos, which is almost identified with pulse production, black-eyed peas are produced, a valuable pulse in terms of nutrition.  Impressively, one portion of black-eyed peas provides as much as protein as half a steak. Gigantes beans of Feneos, mostly known as butter beans, are of same quality and nutritional value as the “Beans Vanilies Feneos”, as they are grown in the same region, same soil, in the same traditional way and in the end, in the same micro-climatic characteristics. Gigantes beans have the same beneficial properties as all other pulses.
